Yat Pit (which means one stroke in Chinese) was founded by designer Jason Mui and Central Saint Martin’s graduate On-Ying Lai in 2015. The irreverent and visionary label is looking to revive Chinese culture and fashion, while reinterpreting it through the designers’ unique cross-cultural perspective. The brand debuted at Shanghai Fashion Week, and was immediately picked up by retailer Opening Ceremony. It’s since become an editor’s favourite thanks to its unique collections which mix Chinese aesthetics with Western uniforms.

It is about being drawn to the things we love, and how we grow and develop them into design ideas.

The things we really love about Hong Kong, from the Harbor to the streets, we found our way to sew these qualities seamlessly through this second collection.

Continuously influencing us in every way possible is Kowloon district, Sham Shui Po, also known as the ‘Dark Side.’
